Word of Mouth - Exhibition Oral histories from the ‘Romany Gypsy, Irish Traveller, Roma and Travelling Showmen communities in Cambridgeshire’. This exhibition allows Romany Gypsy, Irish Traveller, Roma and Travelling Showmen to tell their stories to the wider community of Cambridge. Their cultural contribution to the history of the City and County has been significant. Word of Mouth addresses the lack of archived material about this community through audio and video clips, photographs and educational materials. At Opening Night on Friday, 16h November from 6pm to 9pm, Travellers will share their stories at the Museum of Cambridge with speakers, music, art and refreshments!
