Oblique ArtsBeing such a glorious sunny evening we all headed out to the local park to create some art! The idea was do make collage landscapes but you know kids have their own ideas which is great!!
So we drew ideas, cut, ripped, glued, talked, laughed and made a huge mess !…but it didn’t matter cause we’re creating and we’re outdoors !!
As the sun went down…the children ran home proudly clutching their creations.
Experimental painting! Our YEP members designed an Jackson Pollock like workshop, this meant that the young people had the freedom to tag and create their own collaborative piece of art! It was a bit of a wild start however the YEP members managed to structure it!
This was one our most popular workshops! The young people made some great artworks that they could take home!
The children had a go at paint pouring, they went wild for it creating pop fantastic !! We were outside in the park, lucky the sun was out, it was great fun, playing with paint again and they marvelled at their art! Many ran home with dripping canvas to show mum & dad!
Some fantastic creatures & faces emerged from the Obliques Arts YEP workshop! We leafed through magazines, imagined & cut, ripped & glued until our image was complete! Great fun for all! The fabulous shinny wallpaper from the scrap store proved very popular!
For this workshop the YEP members experimented with foam sculptures! The young people at Abbey People did a great job, see the results below.
